Amman, April 2009 – The Friends of the Environment Society (FOE) honored Munya Specialized Resorts – one of the tourism development subsidiaries under Jordan Dubai Properties (JD Properties), the investment arm of Jordan Dubai Capital in the tourism and real estate sectors – for its continued support of the FOE's activities and functions, which comes in line with Munya's commitment to supporting local community initiatives.

As part of its contribution, Munya's support included covering the FOE's annual drawing content's celebration expenses for the second year, and publishing the FOE's yearly calendar, which features the winning entries of this year's contest entitled "Environment through the Eyes of Children". The contest is held for students under the age of 15 from public, private and Military Education schools, in addition to schools affiliated with international organizations with the aim of encouraging children to take a more active role in environmental issues by portraying their outlook on the environment they live in.

"We strongly encourage and support this type of activities, which are instrumental in spreading environmental awareness, and give us the opportunity to interact with children and showcase their talents. I am proud to add that the FOE calendars will be printed on paper that was recycled in Jordan" said Mr. Nidal Khawaja, Munya's General Manager.
